Integrated Mobile Electronics - FAQ Vehicle CompatibilityQ: What vehicle manufacturers will the IME System support? A: We support most late model vehicles. Check our application list to see if your vehicle is currently supported. Q: Does the IME System work with factory navigation? A: At this tIME, we support factory navigation from the following manufacturers: Audi, BMW, Ford, GM, Mercedes, and Nissan Check our application list for details and updates. Q: Does the IME System work with aftermarket radio/DVD/navigation systems? A: Yes, The System is compatible with all aftermarket radio/DVD/navigation systems with auxiliary A/V inputs. Q: I have an aftermarket radio with no auxiliary input is there still a way for it to connect to The System? A: Most aftermarket radio manufacturers offer an auxiliary input adapter that will allow for connectivity to The System. Player Compatibility Q: Are Zune™, iPod®, and Sansa® the only media players supported by IME? A: Yes, currently these are the only compatible players. Q: Would I have to purchase a complete system if I were to change to a different media player (i.e. Zune™ to iPod®)? A: With The System's interchangeability, you would only need to purchase an Additional Dock for the new player. Audio/Video Quality Q: What kind of sound quality is expected from the IME System? A: The System provides a clean, digital CD-quality sound direct from the player using a composite A/V connection. Q: What kind of video quality is expected from the IME System? A: Using the same composite A/V connection for sound, The System provides a crystal clear video through your factory navigation or aftermarket entertainment systems. Installation Q: Can I install it myself? A: IME recommends professional installation, however anyone with moderate experience with car stereo installation should have no problems. Q: Where should the Dock be located? A: The Dock can be installed in any desired location. IME recommends The Dock be installed in the vehicle's center console for optimum access. |
